Milk Works ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and who we share it with.
What we collect
- Contact and delivery details: your name, delivery and billing address, email address and phone number.
- Order details: what you bought, returns and warranty claims.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or through our contact form.
- Browsing information: your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you visit, collected through cookies.
We will never ask for information about your political, religious or philosophical beliefs, health, sexuality, racial or ethnic origin, or criminal record.
Card payments are handled by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
How we collect it
We collect information when you place an order, contact us, join our email list, leave a review, or browse our website. You don't have to give us your details, but without them we can't process an order or reply to you.
Cookies
Our website and its partners (including Shopify, Google and Meta) use cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, measure how the site is used, and show you relevant ads. You can turn cookies off in your browser settings, but some parts of the site, such as checkout, may stop working.
How we use it
- To process, deliver and support your order, including returns and warranty claims.
- To answer your questions and provide customer service.
- To run, secure and improve our website, and to prevent fraud.
- To send you marketing emails, but only if you have opted in.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share information only with businesses that help us run Milk Works, and only as much as they need. These include Shopify (which hosts our store and processes payments), payment providers, delivery carriers, and email, analytics and advertising services. We may also share information where the law requires it.
Some of these providers store information outside Australia, including in the United States and Canada. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard similar to the Australian Privacy Principles.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Marketing and spam
We follow the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). We only send marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we never use address-harvesting software. If you receive a message that looks like it came from us but you didn't ask for it, please let us know.
Security and how long we keep it
We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and limit access to people who need it. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so we can't guarantee it. We keep your information only for as long as we need it for your order, your warranty, and our legal and tax obligations.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you're concerned about how we've handled your information, email us first and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
